Aside from the odd comment here and there, I haven't really utilized Gawker Media's new platform to its fullest. However, since today is my last day as Media Director of Fluid MotorUnion, this Kinja-ma-jigger will now become my main automotive outlet.
I never thought any of my shots would grace the pages of Jalopnik while working here, but the E90 M3 velocity stack set proved me wrong. For that reason, I thought to myself this morning, "Hey, it's your last day at work today, may as well use this newfangled Kinja system to post up your favorite photos from the last three years. It should kill a decent chunk of your time, too."
And that's where we are right now. So below, you'll find a Hulk-sized handful of some of my favorite photos that I've taken during my tenure at FMU. It was a blast, and an experience I won't soon forget.
I have inhaled more exhaust fumes, looked into more welding arcs and stood closer to more oxy-acetylene torches than I care to mention, but it was all for the sake of providing a look into a service and fabrication shop that not many are privy to. I think it was worth it.
I'll still be freelancing for Total 911 - The Porsche Magazine, but most of what I'd like to talk about doesn't really fit in with their mag, so I'll probably post the occasional story here, as well. If you like it, hey, cool, that means I'm doing the right thing with my English degree and a lifelong love of cars. Either way, I'll still be perusing Jalopnik on the daily.
Thanks for the memories.
